It's all over!

There has, in fact, been a tie for 3rd place. Judges will decide the winner probably well before August 22nd, but that will be the definite end to the contest. Well done to all who entered!


How to vote.

Send a note to me with the numbers of your TWO favorite submissions (in no particular order). PAY ATTENTION TO THE UNDERLINED, BOLDED AND ITALICIZED STUFF! The subject should be something like 'Vote', otherwise I probably won't read it until the end. You can't vote for yourself. Voting will be until midnight on August 10th (GMT +8).

In the case of a tie, I will put together a judging panel and we will decide amongst ourselves which is the best.

Tell a story in 3 sentences. It must be a complete story with each sentence being no longer than 59 words. 'Complete' means that the first sentence is the beginning (see definition below), the second sentence is the middle, and the last sentence is the end.

So what do these terms mean?

Beginning An introduction to the setting, characters and other important stuff.

Middle An important event, the climax, that kind of stuff.

End The resolution.

For example:

Jane munched on her tuna salad sandwich, savoring every bite. Suddenly, she noticed that there was something bitter in the sandwich. No, it wasn't poison, it was a piece of bittermelon that she later reported to the owner of the restaurant when she sued him.

It's that simple! Now for the rules:

1. Submissions must be sent to me by note, with a link to the story submitted as a deviation. A lot of people have been just sending me the three sentences by note, so please read this carefully!
2. Submissions will be accepted until the end of June (in other words the 30th).
3. Voting through notes will take place after that (details to come later).
4. The story shouldn't contain anything too explicit...swear words and stuff are fine but try not to mention anything -ahem-.
