I love this one, for it's simplicity. I don't know if there's a need to expand it as the message comes across quite nicely through these eight lines.
Would "and will never come back" work better as the last line? It has to many syllables, but... hmm... (can't explain, given my lack of formal knowledge of poetry except for the wikipedia entry you linked me to a couple of weeks back, I can only judge based on feeling...)
